The centerpiece of ACL's facility is the demanding 400'x400' foot international grass Grand Prix Field which was designed by world renowned course designer Linda Allen. It challenges riders with obstacles as diverse as vichy banks, permanent fountain-and- banks, slides, a small version of the Golden Gate Bridge and numerous other scenarios riders may encounter in competition.
The Grand Prix field is complemented by a 300'x300' foot open sand arena. Additionally, a sand dressage arena is separated from the jumping areas, allowing athletes a quiet serene environment for maximum concentration.
All buildings at ACL were designed in the great California Spanish architectural tradition. The magnificent stucco-style barns feature 37 oversize stalls and a tack room complex with natural wood cabinets and brass saddle racks. Walkways of stone, slate with antique Spanish lanterns lead to professional offices, private apartments and a conference center. A blacksmith bay, veterinarian center and equine infirmary stalls are additional amenities.
Because its state-of-the- art facilities include individual pastures, oversized stalls, around-the-clock equine staffing and an Aqua-tread for horse conditioning, Albert Court Ltd. also accepts a limited number of horses which require physical rehabilitation under the watchful eye of equestrian professionals. Adjacent to the 37 stalls and fully equipped tack room are a blacksmith's bay, a fully- equipped veterinarian center, lab and equine infirmary stalls. The state-of-the-art Aquatread is a 60' heated underwater treadmill that is an integral part of horse conditioning and rehabilitation.
