No other sport delivers the exhilarating power, speed and grace of Grand prix show jumping. It is a sport that will bring spectator on the edge of their seats one moment, and silence an arena of thousands the next. An Olympic event, it is one of the very few sports where men and women compete in the same platform; rider ages can also vary.
The horses and riders are judged in their ability to complete a predetermined course which is made up of obstacles of various size and shape. To make matters worse, the round must be completed within a certain amount of time. Some are high, some are wide, and all are challenging. As a result, the sport experiences a great amount of thrills, spills and excitement. One small mistake can ruin an otherwise perfect round.
